Probably the most long awaited character in the MOTU Classics line, Stinkor features a ton of accessories and even a scented body. Embedded with patchouli as the original figure was, Stinkor can clear a room keeping He-Man and his warriors at bay…Apparently, even Skeletor and his group doesn’t want to be around him either.
Donning the orange armor that he shares with Mekaneck, Stinkor also has his blue shield and the recolor of Mer-Man’s head. If original Stinkor isn’t your thing, he comes with everything you’ll need to turn him into 200X Stinkor.
Including an alternate head, a blue gas mask, a lever to replace the dot on his armor, a blue tank set-up that presses into the back of his armor and a blue odor blaster, Stinkor is ready for battle. Display him either way and he looks cool. With all of Stinkor’s accessories it all comes down to what you want to do—there obviously is nothing wrong with mixing and matching.
The back of the package has an “also available” and his bio is from the 200X cartoon.
GRADE: A+ (The Stink-man might be one of the best figures in the line, if anything, he is so far).
Slush Head is from the New Adventures of He-Man from the late 80’s, as is Flipshot who came out last year and the character Optikk from early in the Classics line. With Slush Head being the third New Adventures figure, the line is starting to grow even more.
Including a 2 in 1 gun with axe, Slush Head is ready for battle, however it is the 2 tentacles that his opponent needs to watch out for. The tentacles are made of flexible plastic, not bendy rubber due to the fact that Snout Spout had breakage issues in his trunk. The tentacles have 360 degree rotation on the silver back pack and one has an articulated claw.
The best feature that Slush Head has is that his domed head can be filled with water. There is a plug on the back of the dome and by filling it with water above the eyes; he can resemble the original figure–the only problem was, mine wouldn’t. You see I had an open seal between the armor and the bottom of the dome, so when I filled the opening on the back it leaks out the front. I don’t think I should have opened this figure, but how could I know? I would have returned/exchanged it, but Mattel’s customer service is horrible and I may not get a replacement. Using epoxy I was able to fill it in, once dry the water held, but I shouldn’t have to do that with something new. So, great job on this one idiots! the message board excuse will be “human error.” It should be “no quality control!” Also, I’d like to mention that he has the loosest ankles of any figure ever made, so he falls over all the time! (Slush Head no more, he will now be called Shithead).
The back of the package has mostly New Adventures characters and his bio which is probably close to the cartoons description of the character (or some executive thinks they are a writer and did it themselves).
GRADE: C (For all of the problems and that is being generous–well, C+, the sculpt of the figure is kind of nice)?
The Snake Mountain Stands are the answer to the Castle Grayskull stands for the villains of MOTU Classics. Made of plastic with a sculpting of black rocks and red lava, the stands include a rock formation to give it even more of a three dimensional look.Included in each pack are 5 base plates, 5 rock formations, 10 pegs and a peg tool with instructions. The peg tool is really not needed, but its there for those who do.
Each plate has multiple holes in which to place the pegs and also using a peg, the rock formation can be placed where the collector’s imagination wishes. The stands are what they are, I could care less that the rocky parts aren’t purple like the original Snake Mountain and the lava doesn’t line up when placing the stands together or the figures foot might be on the lava flow, its just a thing to enhance display, nothing more.
GRADE: B- (I have used the Castle Grayskull stands for a long time and I’m sure there is little to no difference between them and the Snake Mountain stands, the quality could be better with holding the figures in place—although loose ankles don’t help either).
NOT part of the subscription but offered on sale day is the long elusive Man-At-Arms! One of the major characters from the beginning of the Masters of the Universe line, Man-At-Arms has been a favorite for generations.
Man-At-Arms features a plethora of accessories including 2 heads. The first head is in the 80’s style that the action figure came with and how he was drawn in the original mini comics. The second head has a mustache for those who drew one on their figure after watching the cartoon—this is also how he appeared in the mini comics after the 1981 copyright., Man-At-Arms comes with multiple pieces of armor with a mini weapons rack on his back. The orange armor includes the breast plate with black fur around the shoulders which was how he was drawn in the original mini comics. Also included is a piece of armor for his lower leg and a two-piece armor on his left arm. The weapons rack on Man-At-Arms back holds his classic orange mace and a sword and pistol styled from the Castle Grayskull weapons rack.
The final piece that is included with Man-At-Arms is the electronic Power Sword from 200X. He-Man’s sword features a new sculpt for the Classics line that does not spin open and features newer details. If anything, all that matters is that it fits into He-Man’s hand, now that is a cool extra!
The back of the package features an “also available” and a bio that has a lot to do with both the original and 200X cartoon.
GRADE: A+ (It’s a fully loaded Man-At-Arms, how can you go wrong)!
Below is a shelf update, its starting to get too full!

Man At Arms is clearly the highlight here. Slush Head looks like cheap trash. Mattycollector needs to step up and make sure things like this don’t happen in the future. Nice photos and article!
