This video showed up yesterday of GumballTech beating the current world record of 25.94 seconds held by Melissa Thompson. He did it in 21.8 seconds but there’s already controversy. Some are saying that Gumball misspelled some of the words and that he used a phone that’s easier for texting. While others are saying, it’s not fair to the original recorder, Franklin Page who had a time of 35.54 seconds. Both Melissa and Gumball already knew what they were going to be texting since it’s the same message that Page wrote. But Page didn’t know beforehand what he was going to text until the contest started.
Gumball’s record isn’t official yet and I say they should have a 3 way contest.
For me, I type at a fast 20 seconds per word using the T9 feature on my classic LG phone. Below is my style:
