So I was at a party and we were talking about a Sci-Fi TV show.  It somehow ended up to a conversation about how it’s geeky to be into spaceships and NASA and all that jazz.  So that got me thinking.  Why is being able to fly a space craft into space considered nerdy and not like the coolest thing in the world?

I wonder if people in the past century called Henry Ford nerdy for dreaming of a mass assembly automobile line?
