This week’s vintage toy goes to Rambo. The figure is based on the 1986 cartoon show, Rambo and the Forces of Freedom. Unlike Chuck Norris’ cartoon show which only had 5 episodes, Rambo had 65 episodes. Rambo battled against neo nazis. That’s right, neo nazis for a kids show.
Toys back in the 80’s were pretty damn violent. That’s what I love about the era. Our hero John Rambo comes with a rocket launcher so he can blow shit up. He also comes with a sleeveless hoodie with a bald eagle on the front of it.
I like this figure because it actually resembles Stallone and doesn’t hold back on political correctness. That’s what the 80’s was all about.
