Warner Bros. has announced that Diane Lane will be playing Martha Kent in Zack Snyder’s take on Superman. She is the second cast member to be announced so far. Oddly enough, this is not Lane’s first brush with the man of steel. She also co-starred with Ben Affleck in Hollywoodland, which was a film about the death of the actor who played Superman on TV, George Reeves.
Snyder’s choices so far seem very careful with lots of rumors flying like Kevin Costner possibly in talks to play Jonathan Kent. IMDB has Lindsay Lohan as rumored to play Ursa and Viggo Mortenson as Zod. It will be interesting to watch this cast unfold.
