UFC 90: Predictions and Summary

Cote already looks scared! Diego was replaced by Koscheck due to a “back injury.”

UFC 90 is a weak PPV card. If it was free, then I wouldn’t complain. There are no real stars here except for Anderson Silva. But he is matched up with against a mediocre fighter in Cote. And that’s the main event.

These are the televised fights.

Anderson Silva vs. Patrick Cote – This is going to be a title fight. Let’s be honest here, Cote does not have a chance at winning this. Silva ran through more accomplished opponents such as Dan Henderson and Rich Franklin. Silva will take this by KO mid first round.

Josh Koscheck vs. Thiago Alves – This could be an interesting fight. I dislike both fighters. Koscheck is a strong wrestler with a habit of laying on his opponents to victory. Thiago Alves is a cheater that was caught once for using an illegal substance, and not making weight for his Matt Hughes fight. Now, if the cheater wins, he might get a shot at the belt. But, Koscheck will probably win this via boredom.

Rich Clementi vs. Gray Maynard – A fight between two Ultimate Fighter contestants. This fight will probably be boring. Both fighters are not known as spectacular finishers. I think that Maynard takes this via decision.Fabricio

Werdum vs. Junior Dos Santos – Werdrum is an accomplished BJJ black belt. His fights are somewhat interesting, but sometimes can be boring. I don’t know much about Dos Santos, so I’ll take Werdum on this one. Werdum by submission.

Sean Sherk vs. Tyson Griffin – This could be the fight of the night. Both guys are explosive and great wrestlers. Griffin is known for his aggressiveness, and Sherk is known for his strenght and cardio. Sherk wins this one via decision.
