Frank Mir vs. Mirko Cro Cop (Main Event) – I really don’t get why this is a Main Event match-up. Both fighters aren’t necessarily “top-contenders” anymore. In their last outings, Mir got KOd by Shane Carwin, and Crocop won a weird fight against Barry. Barry already won that fight, but showed too much respect for Crocop by not finishing Crocop while he was dazed. Like I said, not “top-contenders.” But, this will still be a good fight. Mir is a cocky fighter, and I think that he will stand with Crocop, and win via KO. Mir has the youth, and the desire to win this fight.
Mir by KO – Rd. 2.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader – Should be a good fight. Bader showed his stand-up skills when he KOd Keith Jardine that started with a knee to the body. I don’t know why, but the Nogueira brothers are slow nowadays. Their boxing used to be good, but is now outdated. Bader is a good striker, and a great wrestler. On the other hand, Nogueira has decent stand-up, with great BJJ. I’d go with Bader. I don’t think that Nogueira has accustomed himself well enough in the Octagon yet. He feels uncomfortable. Although, not easy to do, Bader will take this fight to the ground, and work from there.

Matt Serra vs. Chris Lytle – I’m not a big fan of Lytle, he’s been fighting for ages and hasn’t improved much. But, I think that he has the momentum going his way for this fight. Lytle’s stand-up is a little better than Serra’s. Although, Serra has a couple of KOs in his career, I don’t think he will catch Lytle with anything significant. Lytle will pepper Serra with punches here and there, and win by points.

Evan Dunham vs. Sean Sherk – Sherk has the experience to beat Dunham. But, he needs to stop thinking that he’s a stand-up fighter, and take this fight to the ground. Once in the ground, Sherk can win fights via smother. I’m not saying that it’ll be an entertaining fight, but Sherk needs this win after a year layoff.
Sherk via SD.

Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens – Guillard is an entertaining fighter for the first two minutes. Stephens is more disciplined, and is more of a complete fighter. Stephens will defend the first 2 minutes, then do whatever he wants once Guillard starts huffing and puffing.
Stephens by RNC – Rd. 1
