Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin (HW Title Fight) – This will be an exciting match-up between the two HWs. Lesnar’s strongest suit next to his wrestling, is his strenght. He will need to take this fight to the ground asap, otherwise, Carwin will knock him out. Carwin is almost as big as Lesnar, but if taken to the ground, Lesnar will dominate Carwin with his wrestling control. The real question here is whether Carwin can match Lesnar’s strenght once on the ground, will Carwin be able to defend those huge fists slamming into his face. If Carwin can hold-off Lesnar’s punches on the ground, there is a chance that Lesnar will lose steam. And, once the fight gets back on its feet, Carwin can capitalize and go for the KO. But, I don’t see Lesnar losing stamina, therefore, Lesnar will win via TKO on the ground.

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Chris Leben – The Co-Main Event of the night, it’s suppose to feature Akiyama vs. Wanderlei Silva. But, Silva got injured in training, so comes Leben. Leben is fresh off his victory 3 weeks ago in Ultimate Fight Night. Leben has the heavy hands to KO his opponents. But, Akiyama’s striking is no joke. Akiyama’s strong suit is his Judo, but he has KO victories over guys like Dennis Kang. Akiyama will drag this fight into the later rounds, and KO the brawler in Leben.

Chris Lytle vs. Matt Brown – This should be a scrap as both fighters like to throw down. Although, Lytle is a bit more of a technical boxer than Brown, he isn’t known for knocking out his opponents. Brown is just a tough bastard. He’s one of those guys that won’t quit. You hit him, he’ll hit you back, harder. Brown will brawl with Lytle, but he should play it smart and take this to the ground. Both fighters are similar in almost every way, so this is a hard one to call. Based on experience and technical boxing advantage, I would pick Lytle to win a split decision.

Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Stephan Bonnar – Bonnar is a hit or miss type of fighter, no consistency. One thing is for sure, he is not a quitter. He will need to pull everything he’s got in this fight to edge out a victory. Soszynski is probably the stronger fighter of the two, and will try to bully Bonnar around. Both fighters aren’t known for their KO powers. However, Bonnar tops Soszynski in the stand-up department. Bonnar needs to keep this fight standing so he can have a chance. Soszynski, a team quest member, will go for takedowns, or if unsuccessful, will try to pin Bonnar against the cage. I feel that Soszynski will succeed in trying to out-wrestle Bonnar, and win via UD.

George Sotiropoulos vs. Kurt Pellegrino – This should be a grappling clinic. Pelligrino is no joke on the ground, he trains with ATT. But, Sotiropoulos’ ground game is insane. Although, he might be a little one-dimensional as an MMA fighter, his grappling alone can take him a long way. This is a good match-up for Sotiropoulos since Pelligrino isn’t known for his stand-up skills. But, Pelligrino needs to keep this fight standing. On the ground, Sotiropoulos will out-class Pelligrino with his amazing rubber guard, and innovative top control. Pellegrino will get caught with a choke later in the fight.
