Champ B.J. Penn vs. Diego Sanchez (for lightweight title) – This should be an interesting matchup between the two lightweights. Diego Sanchez is an animal, he has good cardio, and a lot of heart. But, he has nothing that Penn can’t handle. I think that Sanchez will try to rush Penn, and eventually will get KOd. There is no way that this fight will hit the ground, unless Penn wants it to.

Cheick Kongo vs. Frank Mir – This is Mir’s comeback fight after Lesnar rearranged his face. Mir’s stand-up has tremendously improved. He landed some clean strikes against Lesnar before he was taken down. But, striking is also Kongo’s strong point. Kongo started out as a kickboxer before turning into MMA. Mir needs to take this fight to the ground, where he is best at, and defeat Kongo via ground control.

Jon Fitch vs. Mike Pierce – Fitch’s last outing in the UFC wasn’t too impressive. After losing a title fight against GSP, Fitch doesn’t seem as motivated as he used to be. Fitch is a strong wrestler, and should be able to take Pierce down, and dominate him on the ground. Let’s hope that he puts on a show for the fans, and finished Pierce in an exciting fashion.

Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida – This could be the Fight of the Night, since Guida is a super entertaining fighter. He is always an aggressive fighter, nomatter who he fights. But, Florian is hard to beat. Penn finished him off, because he is BJ Penn. Florian has an edge on both the stand-up and on the ground. The aggressiveness factor definately goes to Guida, but it won’t be enough. This might be three rounds of fun.

Paul Buentello vs. Stefan Struve – Buentello has returned to the UFC,  and is fighting Struve. Struve is a lanky fighter at 6’11 and is known for his submission skills. Buentello is a pure striker with decent sprawls and submission defense. Struve will not be able to take Buentello down, and will eventually get KOd.
