Here we go again, the next UFC is coming this Saturday, and it will be held at the Staples Center in L.A. The overall card looks mediocre, but the Main Event is something to look forward to.

Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua – This will be a great fight because Shogun is a very aggressive fighter. Coming from the Chute Boxe Academy, he’s known for his constant attacks with kicks, knees, and punches. But, that will be his downfall in this fight because Machida is an excellent counter-fighter. Machida will pick Shogun apart standing, Shogun will go for takedowns but will fail, Machida will end it with a KO.
Machida by a dynamic KO, Rd. 2.

Cain Velasquez vs. Ben Rothwell – I am looking forward to this fight. Rothwell is a talented fighter with 30 wins under his belt, but none of them against a top-ranked fighter. Cain is a talented wrestler that lacks stand-up defense. He got rocked by Kongo twice in his last fight, but was able to recover quick enough to get the takedowns. There is no question that Cain will try to take this fight to the ground. Cain will prevail due to his amazing wrestling skills, and will ground and pound his way to victory.

Gleison Tibau vs. Josh Neer – This will be a boring fight between two irrelevant fighters in their weight divisions. Tibau by boring ground control.

Joe Stevenson vs. Spencer Fisher – This could be an interesting fight. Stevenson is a great wrestler with a lot of heart. Fisher is a solid wrestler with decent stand-up skills. But, Stevenson should be able to take this fight to the ground at will, and win via ground control. If Fisher can keep this fight standing, he has a good chance of scoring a KO.

Anthony Johnson vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida – An interesting match-up between the striker and the judoka. Yoshida is known for his judo throws and submission skills. Johnson is known for beating Stephan Bonnar with his fancy stand-up moves. Johnson is a solid striker with KO power, but I don’t think that it’ll be enough to take out Yoshida. Yoshida will weather the storm, and submit Johnson early 2nd round.
Yoshida by Armbar – 2nd Rd.
