UFC 100 is finally here, and seems to be one of UFCs best card in awhile.

Lesnar vs. Mir – A Heavyweight Title fight between UFCs two top heavyweights. Lesnar is the title holder while Mir is the Interim Champion. But, come Saturday, one will be crowned the only true Heavwyweight champion of the octagon. Mir has improved since his motorcycle accident, and truly deserves the title shot after stopping the former PRIDE HW champion in Antonio Nogueria. Although, a very limited fighter, Lesnar has the power and enough wrestling skills to beat Randy Couture for the belt. Lesnar also impressed the fans by wrecking the former Pride contender in Heath Herring. Mir is a better jiu-jitsu player, but he will not be able to take Lesnar down, which means that he will be forced to stand with Lesnar. Lesnar has very powerful hands, and a very good sprawl. The only way this fight hits the ground is if Lesnar decides to take it there, which wouldn’t be a very smart move because he can be submitted by Mir. But, I think that Lesnar will keep this fight standing until he knocks Mir down, then he can go for the finish. Lesnar by TKO.

George St. Pierre (GSP) vs. Thaigo Alves – Another title fight of the night, GSP is the dominant champion, while Alves is the contender. Aside from John Fitch, Alves will probably be one of GSP’s toughest fight. With that said, Alves doesn’t have what it takes to beat GSP, unless he can slip a lucky punch and get a KO. Other than that, GSP will take this fight to the ground and finish it there with his very effective ground and pound. GSP by GnP.

Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago – This one is hard to call since I don’t know much about Thiago. However, I do know that Jon Fitch is a top fighter in his division, the only fighter that GSP couldn’t finish in his recent fights. Fitch is a very complete fighter, and is probably the #2 fighter in the division. But, a fighter becomes irrelevant in his division after losing a title fight against the champ. So, Fitch has to work his way up the ladder to get another title shot against the champ. Fitch by GnP.

Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping – The two had their squabbles as the team leaders in the Ultimate Fighter TV show. Now, they can settle it in the cage. This is a hard fight to call because both fighters have a very similar fighting styles. Henderson has better experience, and has fought more top-ranked fighters in his career, but he is also older. He isn’t as strong and explosive as he used to be. Bisping is younger, and has been impressive in his last couple of wins in the Octagon. But, I’d have to say that Henderson can still pull this off if he takes this fight to the ground. His superior wrestling skills should be enough to neutralize Bisping’s strikes. Once on the ground, Henderson can score points via ground and pound and take this fight to the decision. Henderson by JD.

Yoshihiro Akiyama Vs. Alan Belcher – Akiyama is a former star in Japan, before he was accused of cheating by using body lotion to keep Sakuraba from taking him down. Ever since, he’s been the most hated fighter in Japan. Now, he moves to the UFC to showcase his skills to a new set of audience. He is a very technical striker, and an Olympian Judoka player. He is fighting Belcher, who has finished Dennis Kang with a guillotine choke. Akiyama’s strikes might be too much for Belcher. Akiyama by TKO.
