I find it kind of weird how Michael Bay is hyping up Transformers 2 by showing up to the Transformers trailer premiere for Revenge of the Fallen. It was a big event with Transformers cosplayers, contest giveaways, and ET and ABC on location. All this for being the first to see the newest trailer a day early.
Tyrese pumps up the audience and shows us the newest trailer two times in a row on the big IMAX screen in LA. After the trailer, we’re treated to a free screening of the first Transformers on IMAX (not the cartoon one). This is the same version with the added scenes. Personally, most of the added scenes felt unconfortable and would leave people saying, “Awkward…”
I have to admit, even though I find it a bit extreme to hype a trailer like it’s a movie premiere, it’s still cool for Michael Bay to show up along with Tyrese and Shia to promote the movie. Tyrese leaves the theater with security all over him while Michael Bay and Shia disappears into the shadow.
