Got to the premiere around 6:30. We left Anaheim at 4 p.m. but thanks to miscommunication among the group, we got lost and suffered a very heavy traffic. They let us in around 7:20 and gave everyone a wristband who was 21 or older. The movie started around 8:20 and was transmitted by satellite. People cheered and laugh at the right places. The movie ended around 10:45 and got a big applause. Do you expect anything else from a Hollywood crowd?
We got in at the afterparty around 11pm or so. I thought it was going to be a half-assed party since fans were invited. Boy, was I wrong. First thing we did was get some food. They had a good variety ranging from meatball sandwiches to BK’s Whoppers’. Snacks were also pretty good. Highlight for me was the churro but they were also serving ice cream.
The biggest Tranformer fan of the group, Jericho.
As we were walking towards the bar, we passed by Michael Bay. We were going to take a picture with him but didn’t want to bother him because he was talking to someone else. Next thing we know, Tyrese came up and started talking to Bay. Fans hounded Tyrese so Bay left. I think he was overwhelmed by the fans.

We headed to the bar and the bartender said everything was free and they were just taking tips. Too bad I don’t drink or else I would’ve taken advantage of it. After looking for Michael Bay again, we see him getting hounded by fans. As we were waiting to take a picture with him, we see Efrin Ramirez(Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite) also waiting to talk to Bay. While we were waiting, we asked him to take a picture with us and he happilly obliged. He even had nice words for the Transformers’ shirts Gibbons and Jericho were wearing.
Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite, very cool guy.
Finally we take a picture with Bay and he jokingly said “He’ll charge $5 for the picture”, since so many fans want to take a picture with him.
Gibbons and Jericho with director, Michael Bay.
After that, we walked around the block and who do we see? The WAMU dude. Took a picture with him as well. We complimented him on his work and told him how funny he is.
The WAMU guy, awwww yeaaaaah!!
Walked around some more and noticed that there was a total of about 4-5 open bars and food was everywhere. Paramount didn’t hold back with this party. They even had vehicles from the movies next to the bars.

A great show, even if the short but well-deserved 2nd season’s esiopde arc felt a bit compressed and rushed through to a conclusion that was satisfying enough. Since Skeet Ulrich sorta got the shaft on his follow-up, perhaps he and some others may be available to lead a new effort but not everyone in the ensemble could sing on due to their present commitments. The storyline was certainly left open, even with the ending that was actually broadcast a reboot could possibly start with the alternate ending, or start from the broadcast ending with efforts to expose the perfidy of the Cheyenne government and retake Nebraska and the rest of America.I’ll vote for it!
