Disney is bringing back the magic by bringing in pop artists to record music for their animated movies.
“Never Knew I Needed” will be featured during the film’s ending credits
and will be available for digital download through the iTunes Music
Store on November 3rd. The soundtrack album will be available November
23rd, and the movie, whose action takes place in New Orleans and the
Louisiana bayou, will open in theatres on December 11th. In addition to
Ne-Yo’s contribution, ‘The Princess and the Frog’ Soundtrack boosts a
colorful collection of original songs and a lively orchestral score,
both composed and conducted by Randy Newman.
Does anybody remember the Ricky Martin version of “Go the Distance” for Hercules? I thought it was better than the Michael Bolton one, and that version was a masterpiece.
Michael Bolton in all his long curly-haired glory.

I’m looking forward to this movie, if only because I miss the heyday of Disney hand-drawn animation and I’m growing bored of CG and the creepy, dead-eyes human look of Polar Express.
