A line of “alternate” appearance statues have been created in Japan (where else) of the female characters from Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Some in the line are Christie Monteiro, Jay Cee (Julia Chang), and a few others…however, what caught my eye was the limited edition of 1500 world wide, Asuka Kazama.

From Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is an awesome action figure of Jun Kazama. Jun hasn’t been in a Tekken game since part 2—she now returns as a fully articulated and finely detailed figure that could double as a statue.

Packaged in an amazing window box with an opening flap and even foil text; don’t be fooled, the image of Jun is actually the figure.

New on DVD from SHOUT! Factory and Hasbro is Transformers Animated: The Complete Series. Spanning 6 DVD’s holding 42 episodes of what I feel is the best version of Transformers lore since the original 80’s cartoon.

Transformers Animated has taken a lot of flak for being cartoony and almost childish—the exclusion of guns over melee and other gripes here and there. What people are missing is the beautiful HAND DRAWN artwork and animation, the interesting story that unfolds throughout the entire series and seeing their favorite characters depicted in a more unconventional way.
