Review Of Stargirl: JSA Series 2!

SG BX FRNT 524x1024 Review Of Stargirl: JSA Series 2!

Stargirl is the “reincarnation” of JSA’s Star-Spangled Kid the former partner of her Step-Dad who is also known as Stripe–once a spandex-wearing sidekick, he now dons a Mech-suit and sidekick’s for Stargirl.

I felt the character was great and portrayed in more of a fun way in the last season of Justice League Unlimited. After the character appeared in the WB’s Smallville the interest kept growing.

The figure–which was on pre-order for a month shows that “Made in China” is becoming ‘Made for Cheap.” However, let me start with the box.

From The DC Universe Comes…

A bitch’in toy review!

From the “Crisis” series I present two 3 packs of 3-4 inch–G.I. Joe-sized heroes. Pack 3 offers Wonder Girl, Superman and Supergirl. Each figure has different points of articulation including joints at the knees and elbows, the heads turn and the shoulders rotate 360 degrees. The details are pretty good between the paint and molds. The package has a raised hand on the inside making the box itself an interesting collectible. The back of the box has the stats of the three characters with a little information on their powers and even their alternate names.
This set …

Full DVD Review: 5 Seasons Of “The Batman.”

Full DVD Review: 5 Seasons Of “The Batman.”

The Batman1 Full DVD Review: 5 Seasons Of The Batman.

Ask me a few years ago what I thought of the–at the time–new animated series The Batman and I would have said it was terrible, or maybe to a lesser extent that it was all right. Ask me today and I’ll reply with regret and some comments on how good it really is.

The Batman has really grown on me, not only do I appreciate the cartoon itself so much more than I had when it first came on, but I also love the action figures.

The Batman is based mostly upon the blockbuster live-action movie Batman Begins. It starts …

Last time in Collections: Part 1 I talked about options and display, in this; part 2, I’ll talk about some Do’s and Dont’s along with alternating and storage.

Bitch’in Toy Of The Week: Cobra Viper Commando With Serpent Armor!

Bitch’in Toy Of The Week: Cobra Viper Commando With Serpent Armor!

So…it’s Saturday, I worked all day and come home tired and all I want to do is rest and waste time on the internet…Well, I went to a certain specialty shop that thinks everything is hot and rare and charges double, triple, quadruple! And people seem to buy it…

Well, NOT ME!

I’ve been looking for a 1983 S.N.A.K.E. Armor from the original G.I. Joe line for maybe a year and a half and kept putting it off. Retailing for about $3 in 1983 it now goes for $15 on average loose and a bit more packaged. Then, out of nowhere …

Bitch’in Toy(s) Of The Week: Catwoman & Selina Kyle!

Bitch’in Toy(s) Of The Week: Catwoman & Selina Kyle!

CatKyle1 1024x768 Bitchin Toy(s) Of The Week: Catwoman & Selina Kyle!

With the end of “The Batman” Animated Series to be taken over by the childish “Batman: Brave and the Bold,” The remnants of the “The Batman” toy line are becoming harder to get. It becomes a case of “I should have grabbed that while I had the chance!” This collector however, got lucky!

Selina Kyle AKA Catwoman is an old villain of Batman from the early days of the comic.  Throughout the years her costume changed and so did her affiliation with which side of the law she was on.

The Catwoman figure is from the Wizard Convention a few years …

Manga Review: Oishinbo: The Joy Of Rice

Manga Review: Oishinbo: The Joy Of Rice

Oishinbo 808x1024 Manga Review: Oishinbo: The Joy Of Rice

In 1983, writer Tetsu Kariya and artist Akira Hanasaki began a series of manga chapters that spanned over one hundred volumes, called Oishinbo.

Oishinbo: A La Carte is a manga-sized print telling the best of the stories. These stories are informative and funny–based around a newspapers cultural staff, the main character Yamaoka is constantly put to the test to prove his mettle with food. Most chapters consist of Yamaoka proving that he knows how to make the best tasting foods and which are the best.

The book itself has a recipe in the beginning–this one is how to make rice and …

Bitch’in Toy Of The Week: The Batman 3 packs!

Bitch’in Toy Of The Week: The Batman 3 packs!

When the cartoon series “The Batman” came onto television courtesy of the WB, I was a little judgmental.  I had grown up with “Batman: The Animated Series” and all of a sudden it had changed to some odd show featuring a “wire-foo” Penguin, Marilyn Manson Riddler and common thug Mr. Freeze.  The show had pulled so far away from what the comics were and couldn’t compare to the original Animated Series.  However, I liked the art and animation, it was pretty decent and gave a real Japanese Anime feel.  It was good in that aspect, however I was still having trouble …
