New from the Black Rock Shooter TV Animation and my first Nendoroid is Chariot with her Tank Mary.

A Nendoroid is built like a Figma with removable and interchangeable parts such as faces, hands and larger body pieces; they are created in the “deformed” look or Chibi look where the head is big and the body is small making these little figurines cute if anything.

Figma Fanatic: Haruhi Suzumiya!

Now, here is a piece of Figma, action figure history! Haruhi Suzumiya from the Anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is literally the second regular Figma ever made. K-ON! or Keion, a Japanese Anime that features a band of 5 girls from an all girls school—The Light Music Club! Years after Evangelion went by the way side but remained in the memories of fans, Hideaki Anno revived the series in 2007 with The Rebuild of Evangelion. The Rebuild is a series of movies that take a lot from the original Anime series and updates it with cleaner, more modern art and animation and alterations to the story through the plotlines and even whole scenes are changed in order to give the Rebuild of Evangelion a new look.

From Black Rock Shooter we have a pair of Japanese Figma action figures of Yomi Takanashi and her other self, Dead Master. I’ve been a fan of Black Rock Shooter since I first heard about it in the States or the “online world.” Oddly, for having somewhat of a worldwide popularity, nothing has been created in the U.S. at the time of this review. What an awesome set! Huke, the creator of Black Rock Shooter released his art book in 2012; this special set includes the 200+ page coffee table book in full color with works pertaining to Black Rock Shooter, Steins Gate and other pieces. Also included is the Black Rock Shooter “Beast” Figma action figure.

The set comes packaged in a really cool brown cardboard box that has the same markings as an electronic appliance with the typeface “BLK” featured in bold.

Straight from Japan and after about 7 months on pre-order is Black Rock Shooter: The Game-Premium White Box.

This is the definitive version of the first Black Rock Shooter video game. Playable on any PSP world wide and in the Japanese language, BRS: The Game came in a large and beautiful box with great head-shot images of Black Rock Shooter and White Rock Shooter. This set comes complete with the PSP game which once again is playable in all PSP systems, however it is entirely in Japanese so it’s feel it out as you go along–unless you know Japanese.
