Hello Kitty Girl Power Lg Hello Kitty Teams up with DC Comics

Sanrio, DC Entertainment and Warner Brothers entered into a licensing agreement recently to produce a line of Hello Kitty products depicting the cartoon feline dressed up as different DC superhero characters. The line will feature the usual Hello Kitty fare: stationery, clothing and accessories, but will also include food items, stuff like brushes and shampoo, and publishing which possibly means the next installment in the Dark Knight franchise (just kidding).  Viz Media has a new Hello Kitty graphic novel coming out this fall so it should only be a matter of time before the Bat Kitty hits the shelves.

For awhile now, DC has been releasing a series of digital comic shorts (via Comixology) for the Masters of the Universe. Each digital comic dedicates a brief story to a particular character in the MOTU mythos. Stargirl is the “reincarnation” of JSA’s Star-Spangled Kid the former partner of her Step-Dad who is also known as Stripe–once a spandex-wearing sidekick, he now dons a Mech-suit and sidekick’s for Stargirl.

I felt the character was great and portrayed in more of a fun way in the last season of Justice League Unlimited. After the character appeared in the WB’s Smallville the interest kept growing.

The figure–which was on pre-order for a month shows that “Made in China” is becoming ‘Made for Cheap.” However, let me start with the box.
