Fedor Emelianenko vs. Fabricio Werdum – Stylistically speaking, this is a very bad match-up for Fabricio Werdum. Considered a top-10 Heavyweight, Werdum is known for his jiu-jitsu skills, and his decent stand-up defense. This is where the problem lies, Fedor’s biggest obstacle aren’t grapplers or wrestlers, they’re strikers like Crocop, Arlovski, or Rogers. Werdum doesn’t have what it takes to beat Fedor standing, therefore, Werdum needs to take this fight to the ground. But, Fedor’s uppercuts is enough to get a man thinking twice before going for takedowns. Werdum is a great fighter, but as a testament to Fedor’s dominance as the #1 HW fighter, Werdum has almost no chance at beating the king. Fedor will outstrike Werdum in the 2nd round for the KO.
Fedor by KO – Rd. 2
Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos vs. Jan Finney – Possibly, the scariest woman on earth, Cyborg won’t have a problem with Finney. As a technical fighter, Santos will out-punch Finney for the win. Finney will try to brawl but will eventually get KOd. The truth is, there’s nobody else out there for Santos to fight, maybe a Gina Carano rematch will be the next best thing. Cyborg will KO Finney later in the first round.
Santos by KO – Rd. 1
Scott Smith vs. Cung Le – The biggest obstacle for Le in the first fight was his limited ground game, and his cardio, mostly his cardio. He was beating the tarp out of Smith for at least 2 rounds, until his conditioning turned against him. Smith got lucky, and KOd Le before the 3rd round ended. This time around, I believe that Le’s conditioning will be better, he will pick Smith apart with crazy kicks, and body-shots. Smith will get KOd this time around.
Le by KO – Rd. 1
Josh Thomson vs. Pat Healy – Healy has potential to be a good all-around fighter, but not yet. Thomson is a tough opponent for anybody to beat, especially an up-and-coming fighter like Healy. Healy will need to brawl with Thomson and hope for a lucky punch, in order for Healy to have a chance at winning. Thomson will play around with Healy for the first round, and go for the finish in the 2nd, where Healy’s cardio might turn sour. Thomson will overwhelm Healy on Rd. 2 with ground and pound.
Thomson by TKO – Rd. 2
