Alistair Overeem vs. Brett Rogers (HW Title Fight) – This should be an entertaining match-up between the two Heavyweight sluggers. Overeem is bigger and more powerful than he was when he won the belt two years ago. Rogers has been on a winning streak until Fedor Emelianenko KOd him on his last outing. Overeem is more experienced, but Rogers has what it takes to beat Overeem. Overeem has been KOd before but his greatest challenge will be his cardio. Rogers has the heavier hands. Rogers will land a heavy blow, and finish Overeem in the 2nd.
Rogers by TKO – 2nd Rd.
Andrei Arlovski vs. Antonio Silva – This will be an interesting match-up. Silva’s stand-up is below average, but can Arlovski capitalize? Arlovski lost 2 in a row; first by Fedor, and second by Brett Rogers, both by KO. This time around, he should be able to “box” Silva, as Silva is not a striker. Arlovski needs to avoid the takedowns because Silva is a Jiu-Jitsu expert. I think that Arlovski will play it safe in this fight; avoid the takedowns, and win by points.
Arlovski by JD.
Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Joey Villasenor – Villasenor has been in the fight game for awhile; he has seen his shares of ups and downs. Although, he is a well-rounded fighter, Villasenor’s skills has been plateauing lately. Jacare is an amazing jiu-jitsu fighters; although, his stand-up is getting better, it needs improvement. Villasenor needs to keep this fight standing, but once it hits the ground, it will be all Jacare. Jacare man-handled Matt Lindland on the ground before submitting him with a Triangle Choke.
Jacare by Armbar – 1st Rd.
Jacare Dominating Lindland
Roger Gracie vs. Kevin Randleman – Randleman used to be a dominant fighter when he was younger, but not anymore. Randleman’s experience will make a significant difference in this fight but won’t be enough. Gracie is younger, but less experienced; however, Gracie should be able to control this fight on the ground, and beat Randleman via submission.
Gracie by RNC – Rd. 3
