Saturday, March 5th – 10pm (E/P)
Rafael Feijao Calvacante vs. Dan Henderson – An exciting match-up for the Light-Heavyweight championship. The champion, Feijao, had a relatively easy time defeating the strong wrestler, King Mo. Now, he faces the veteran, Dan Henderson. Feijao will try to keep this fight standing. Even though Henderson has a powerful right hand, Henderson will want this fight on the ground. Feijao is a better boxer. Henderson is a very entertaining fighter, but I think he’s past his prime. Feijao has the tools and the youth to defeat Hendo.
Feijao via TKO – Rd. 2
Tim Kennedy vs. Melvin Manhoef – This should be an entertaining fight between the kickboxer and the grappler. Kennedy needs to stay away from Manhoef for the majority of the first round. Manhoef usually slows down after the first. Then, Kennedy can take Manhoef to the ground, and submit him with ease.
Kennedy via RNC – Rd. 2
Marloes “Rumina” Coenen vs. Liz “Girl-rilla” Carmouche – Women’s Welterweight Championship, Carmouche is 5-0 with 3 TKOs and 2 submissions. Coenen is the more experienced fighter at 18-4. I was introduced to Coenen when she fought Cyborg Santos and took a beating not many can take. That fight showed me that she has a lot of heart. Carmouche will come out strong, but in the long haul, the more experienced Coenen will win.
Coenen via Armbar -Rd. 2
Jorge Masvidal vs. Billy Evangelista – Well, I haven’t seen either fighters before. But, Masvidal’s 20-6 record looks impressive. This is a haymaker of pick but I think Masvidal will outclass Evangelista based on experience itself.
