The newest porn parody from Vivid and Axel Braun wrapped its filming over the weekend, Star Wars XXX.  Braun said he’s had fun shooting the movie but wanted to pay an homage to one of the most beloved sci fi franchise in the world.  I caught up with the cast and crew recently and went behind the scenes for the most expensive adult film ever produced.  As I got there, they were filming on the third floor of the building.  Lot of green screens and a bunch of imperial officers pointing at it.  Next were Stormtroopers with busty armors and showing some legs.  This is where the parody comes in, it turns out 2 of the Stormtroopers are Luke and Han Solo.

Allie Haze as Princess Leia showed up on set and she looked sexy with her traditional white costume from “A New Hope” and the trademark hair bun.  They were shooting more scenes with Haze and she had the snarly attitude just like in the original trilogy.  Haze also did her own stunt as they jumped through the “compactor.”  She hit one of the wooden props really hard and a loud crack echoed.  Everyone rushed to see if she was okay.  She was a tough cookie and just laughed it off.  Director Axel Braun went up to her and talked to her for several minutes to console her.  After the scene was shot, it was lunchtime (although it was already 4 p.m. ).

I noticed an interior set of the Millenium Falcon being built on the first floor.  I asked Braun if the movie was still shot in 3D when it was first announced. “After checking out forums and the fanbase, no one wanted it to be in 3D.  They wanted it to stay true to the original.  Plus I couldn’t get the shots I wanted if I used 3D camera because of the limited technology.”  Braun says he pays close attention to the fans.  “The fans are great, they love the movies I’ve done.  So it’s always my goal to give them what they want.”

Braun proudly shows the production stills for Star Wars XXX from his iPhone.  I was impressed with the presentation, it looked like stills from a big budget Hollywood production.  Braun is really open and he’s easy to talk to, so without hesitation I asked him if he’s ever worried about Hollywood and comic book companies suing him for the parodies (ie Hulk, Batman).  Braun answered   “Vivid has great lawyers that always attention to details.  They tell me what’s considered parody and what’s considered copyright infringement.  They’re with me from beginning to finish to make sure everything is covered under the parody law.  I have my own personal lawyers too to make sure everything is legal.  No one has  ever tried to contact me yet, not even DC comics (laughing). ”

Braun said his favorite movie he’s worked on is Spider-Man XXX (which will premiere at Comic Con).  He said he loved working with the costumes and the special effects.  He said editing is tougher than the actual shoot because they have to make it flow and capture the spirit of the comics.  “From the music to the credits, I take part in it.  I want it to be as close to the source as possible.  Editing is tough but it’s also the best because you see the progress.”

Braun said he plans to atttend Comic Con and share a booth with Geekscape.  He’s planning to show Spider-Man XXX in a  big theater and show the trailer for Star Wars XXX.  After lunch was over, they were filming more green screen scenes.  This time around, Chewbacca made an appearance.  He was doing a lot of groans as Lei insulted him.  They were still going to shoot inside the millenium falcon but the set was still being built.

I interviewed Allie Haze (video below) regarding her experience with the movie as well as her Star Wars knowledge.  She was very well spoken and I was surprised she knew her Star Wars universe.  She also gave a philosophical advice on how to approach girls.  She’s planning to be at the Comic Con as well to mingle with fans.

After a couple of hours, the set was ready and they were shooting inside the Falcon. I called it a day but it seemed like they were still going to shoot for at least several hours.  Braun told me the sex scenes in the movie and it’ll be safe to say that Star Wars fans will appreciate it and even laugh at some of the absurdity.
