Well the Sony Playstation Store just came out with a slew of demos over the weekend. Siren: Blood Curse, Wall-E, and Narnia: Prince Caspian is available now for download.Â
Click below to for my impressions of the three demos.
Siren: Blood CurseÂ
First one up is Siren: Blood Curse. I was excited about this game when they released their teaser trailer. The graphics were good and the atmosphere was dark and intense. After playing the demo, I changed my mind. The graphics are still good for the character models. The lighting does its job of keeping you claustrophobic. The environment and sound gives you that creepy atmosphere.
The controls are decent, but I have a bone to pick with the camera system. It’s so close the character and you can hardly move it all the way left or right, leaving you blind to just over the main character’s shoulder. So if you want to look behind you, your character has to turn around like a full rotation.
The only gripe with the graphics for me is the low res textures. You can really see it on the walls of buildings.
The game comes out at the end of this month, so we’ll get to see if the game will be worth it.
Then we have the 2 Disney games that are already out, but I wasn’t really interested in them.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
This game reminds me of the Lord of the Rings games. Your basic action/adventure hack and slash game. You can switch characters from the nerdy boy to the sexy handsome Prince! In the end, I’ll give this meh.
Wall-E
The third demo released is Wall-E. This is your basic platformer. Just played a little bit of it and I got tired of jumping through metal hoops. Graphics are what you expect of a movie licensed game. Nothing to see here.
Hopefully you guys enjoy these demos more than I did. I doubt it though, hehehe.
