Segway, the personal transporter, was hyped pretty good when it first came out in 2002. It was featured on every media outlet. While Segways are still used today by security and law enforcement for crowd control, it didn’t have the impact the owner James Heselden had hoped. No one bought it for their personal use and it didn’t live up to the hype. Well today, Yahoo reported that Heselden was riding his segway in England and he fell over a cliff and died. He fell 30 feet and his body was found on in the river below.
Heselden was known as a wealthy entreprenuer who donated millions to charities and helping out his community. He was 62 years old.

Seems a little odd to me….Ive drove a segway before, just flying off a cliff and not an easy feat to do.
