To save on education expenses for the future, the South Korean government has looked into robots to teach the kids. The robots speak english thanks to the people controlling behind them: outsourced Filipinos. The robots face reaction is based on the controller’s facial reaction. According to DigitalTrends, the project cost the government $1.37 million and each robot costs $8,750.
Based on the kids reactions, it looks like the kids would rather have a real life teacher.
