Yes, I finally got a chance to see this movie after my Vegas trip (which I can’t tell you since the shit will stay in Vegas). Right from the beginning I knew that I was going to dig this movie.Â
It starts off with a business-type man searching for something. He gets setup, but turns out he’s got enhance powers and jumps from inside the building and crashes into the window to the outside building all the way to the other building across the block. He kills a couple of snipers while still in the air. Everything was just so over-the-top. It’s the same reason that I enjoyed Shoot ‘Em Up. These movies don’t take themselves too seriously and you can tell they are having fun doing with it.
While the movie does stray away from its original source, as a movie by itself, it’s still works. I loved the main character Wesley Gibs. He’s the outcast, loner, really nerdy looking dude. His friend is fucking his girl. His boss walks all over him. The ATM machine rejects him. He lives in a shitty apartment next to the train tracks. His life is one big routine, working, going home, to the grocery store, and on and on.
The action scenes are fun to watch. My favorite scene was near the end when Wesley fights back and he shoots people left and right and while the fallen drops, their guns fly in the air while Wesley takes it and uses it on others.
I don’t want to go into detail about the story, but it was good enough to pull me in and it wasn’t just about the cool action scenes. This movie is highly recommended if you love crazy action.  Â
