For the 5 Deadly Venoms DVD contest, we asked for your favorite kung fu movie and you guys gave us variety of answers. Some were from comedies like Kung Pow while plenty mentioned Enter The Dragon. Below are the winners:

2) Shannon B – I like the Karate kid movie as it is well made.
I agree, Karate Kid is a classic 80’s movie. It had a memorable ending and a song that’s used by the UFC once in a while.
3) Edward – Fist of Legend still holds up as my favorite martial arts film. Recently Grand Master Ip Man was amazing!
This man knows his kung fu movies. Just like me he’s not a big fan of wire fu. The two he mentioned are definitely must watch. Jet Li kicked ass in Fist Of Legend while Ip Man starred Donnie Yen as the famed kung fu instructor.
4) Marc – My favorite martial arts movie is Bloodsport with Jean-Claude Van Damme as Frank Dux. This movie was based on a true story, but, of course, who knows what is true or false. Still the movie is very entertaining and has lots of drama, suspense, action, and a little humor. (Whatever the factual errors in the movie itself, Frank Dux, the “hero” in the film is acknowledged as a great martial arts master.)
I totally forgot Bloodsport but I used to watch this when I was a kid. The 80’s cheesy music as he’s being chased is pretty damn funny. The revenge factor was great and Bolo Yeung was a perfect villain. When I saw Van Damme’s splits at the end, I knew Bolo didn’t have a chance. The real Frank Dux is a fraud but at least we got a great martial arts movie out of it.
5) Sardu – I recently saw “Ip Man” and thought it was awesome. The fight scenes were wicked good. But I’d have to say my all time favorite is “Master of the Flying Guillotine” with the One Armed Boxer. There are so many different fighters in this but the one that stands out is the guy who stretches like Dhalsim from Street Fighter. Great stuff.
Flying Guillotine is one of the all time great kung fu flicks and I’m glad someone chose this as their favorite martial arts movie . It’s weird seeing handicapped fighters but it made it cooler as well just to see how good they were!
