This weekend should be slow with students back in school and no high profile movies coming out. The biggest movie release this weekend is the tired but profitable, Resident Evil: Afterlife. There’s also a movie starring John Cena coming out this weekend but it’d be lucky if it made more than $5 million.
Let’s take a look at the reviews:
Resident Evil: Afterlife only has 4 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and they’re all negative. With the small amount of review, this means the movie is really bad and the studio doesn’t want negative publicity. The movie is in 3-D but who cares if the movie sucks. A polished turd is still a turd. Radio Times describe as “Anderson (director) heaves axes, artillery, shattered glass and The Thing-style dogs at the camera to wincing effect, but it still only adds up to a lame, by-the-numbers horror.”
John Cena’s high school wrestling drama, Legendary is getting reviewed but they’re mostly negative. At 17% score and no publicity, Legendary will flop hard over the weekend. Sarasota Headline-Tribune describes it as “An after-school special on steroids, Legendary is the story of a fake wrestler teaching his kid brother how to be a real wrestler.”
Those are the major movie releases this weekend folks. They look like crap so I’ll be watching the “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” from Netflix.
