Rejoice PC gamers for Capcom has announced the release date of the latest entry of their flagship series, Resident Evil 6 on the PC which is slated to come out on March 22 in North America and Europe. But there is one, tiny little difference, in NA the PC version of RES 6 will only be available via digital distribution service like Steam, while in Europe gamers will have the choice between a digital and a retail copy of the game.
All the DLC that has been released thus far like the Ada Wong campaign and the No Hope difficulty setting will all be part of the PC version on launch, it will also support Steam functionality, and here is the minimal system requirements needed to run the game:
Processor: Intel® CoreTM2 Duo 2.4 GHz, AMD AthlonTM X2 2.8 GHz
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Disk Space: 16 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GTS
Nothing too demanding am I right? Well the recommended requirements aren’t much higher.
Processor: Intel® CoreTM 2 Quad 2.7 Ghz, AMD PhenomTM II X4 3 GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAMD
Disk Space: 16 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 or better
Resident Evil 6 was definitely one of the most polarizing games ever to come out, some people loved it, others (me) absolutely despised it with the burning passion of a thousand raging suns, but weather you’re happy to hear this news or not, its still great to see us PC gamers get a little extra bang for our buck.
