MSN posted this article by Linda Carroll up on their main page. It’s about why guys go for girls that are out of their league. I thought the article was going to be cool, about how the average guy can get the hot girl. Boy was I wrong. They interview these so-called experts on the study of why guys think they can get the girl, and they conclude that guys are delusional and that they should aim for girls closer to their attractiveness…….I call BULLSHIT!!!!!! Just read some of these quotes from the “experts.”
“Men might as well reach for the stars.”
“Good looking people are always looking for other good looking people.”
“But he wonders whether the unattractive guys eventually learn that their chances are slim regardless of what they see on screen.”
Ok, I just had to laugh. These people have no idea what they’re talking about. Clearly the people they interviewed are really really really ugly beyond saving, because they don’t believe that the average Joe can get the hot girl.
Ok, I’ll give to them that you don’t see that many average guys with hot girls, but the article makes it seem as if the average guy should just give up and cut his losses. One of my good buddies, I would say he’s on a larger scale, would date really attractive models. My other friend, who’s an attractive female, has a boyfriend who I would say reminds me of Kevin Smith.
Speaking of Kevin Smith, he’s a big guy, and he’s got the attractive wife. Look at Judd Apatow, the same goes for him too. Oh, and let’s not forget about Dominic Monaghan, who’s dating Evangeline Lilly, a total hotty.
The point is, as guys, it’s in our nature to reach for the stars. That’s what keeps us motivated. We want a challenge. And if any girl, professor, or anybody should say that we should stop dreaming, I’m going tell them to FUCK OFF! My dream girl is right here next to me.

My wife is way above my league, if i had read this and believed this then i would have never gotten married to my wife.
This is just another thing to inflate “good looking” peoples ego. Paris Hilton, i think shes totally unattractive, but its articals like these that will keep her ego bloated.
The other thing is poeple think attractive girls will go for guys like me, or Kevin Smith because there rich. BS, im about as rich as the guy laying on a cardboard box infront of McDonalds in Hollywood, lol.

No, guys, PLEASE pay attention to this article. Quit acting like you have a chance. Seriously. I’m in modeling and I’ve been in relationships with attractive men, so I know I am an attractive woman, but I still get some of the ugliest guys coming up to me. I always know from the first glimpse that I do not want to date them, and they should gather that too (attractive women want attractive men!!!) and quit putting me in an awkward situation where I have to look like a bitch for turning them down and being “too shallow”. Date women of your level – they will appreciate your advances so much more!
