The UFC announced that, former WWE star,  Brock Lesnar is getting a title shot against Randy Couture. Lesnar is 2-1 in mma.

Lesnar is a draw because of his pro-wrestling background. From a business standpoint, this is a good match-up. But, for the sport itself, this match-up is a joke. Lesnar’s only notable win was against the former PRIDE washout in Heath Herring. Yes, Lesnar dominated Herring like never seen before but this does not make Lesnar a contender for the belt. The interim UFC HW champ and former PRIDE HW champ, Antonio Nogueira, should be the next in line. I remember how quick Lesnar tapped to Frank Mir’s heel hook. That’s how he got his 1 loss in mma. But, instead of Mir or Noguiera fighting for the belt, the UFC decided to give it to Lesnar. Lesnar can beat Couture, and is a legitimate threat to anybody. With that said, I hope that Couture will humiliate him like he did Sylvia.
