Here’s Mattel’s Marketing Manager pitching for pre-orders on the new envisioned Castle Grayskull. The main difference is the size, this Castle was going to be gigantic. But, Mattel needs certain amount of pre-orders for the Castle to be built. So far, there isn’t nearly enough. The price range is $250, which is probably the main reason for the sad news. Or, maybe Mattel should try to pitch the idea by using an actual Toy, rather than a foam version.

As costly as it is, I pre-ordered on the first day, just 1 of course, I’m not like the “Max Millions” who picked up 2 or 3 like it is nothing.
The Mattycollector website’s forum is a laugh riot that sometimes makes you want to cry, its hard to believe that some of these people are adults–check it out!
I think what would sell the castle to those undecided because they would like to know more about it before they drop about $300+ after shipping–for some, even more; would be better color pictures/drawings and not just the blue print–a sculpt would be great, but…you know…
With the 2013 subscription, they used scare tactics to get people to buy it (regardless of what anyone says, they DID use scare tactics) apparently, they aren’t scaring people enough with Castle Grayskull–or maybe they are…
I pre-ordered because I want it, I don’t care about the price because there is a year to save up. $20 a month, plus a little extra put into an envelope and all I have to do is not touch it and deposit it into the bank when the time comes. All I and any of us who want one can do now is hope they make it, hope it comes in one piece and hope its not made half-assed…we’ll see…
