The Black Swan, The Fighter, True Grit, and The Kids Are All Right scores have all been disqualified by the Oscars due to technicalities. The Oscars claims that The Black Swan and The Fighter used music that were not created by the composers, meaning they took music from somewhere else and used it in the film. i agree that The Black Swan used mainly classical music throughout the film. I haven’t seen The Fighter so I can’t comment on that.
(Via Variety) True Grit and The Kids Are All Right are disqualified for different reasons. The folks at the Oscars claim that these two films used too many tracks or songs that weren’t deemed as “original” tracks. However, these films have original tracks, but they are still disqualified for the reason mentioned above.
So, the Oscar goes to………. Hans Zimmer for Inception!!!!
