It seems to be happening so much these days with celebs… Michael Jackson, Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledger, all left this world after consuming prescription meds.  On Thursday morning, Perry Moore, age 39, who was the executive producer for all three Narnia flicks, was found unconscious in the bathroom of his NYC apartment by his partner but paramedics could not revive him.  The Hollywood Reporter says the police are denying reports until the autopsy comes back but the New York Daily News and the New York Post are reporting that their sources say it was an overdose of OxyContins that did him in. Moore had just finished writing a novel called Hero about a gay teen superhero.  Here’s an interesting article he wrote about the mistreatment of gay superheroes in comics:  Perry Moore Stories.

I’m telling ya, these prescription meds are no joke.  People think that just because a doctor tells you it’s okay to take them, that it’s safe to abuse them and we’re seeing that these drugs are just as deadly as the ones off the street. You’ve seen those drug commercials where they show someone at the beach laughing and playing with their dog then at the end of it some deep voice very quickly goes down the list of all the nasty side effects.  The pharmaceutical companies (aka Big Pharm) are keeping really quiet about the fact that their products aren’t as safe as they’d like us to believe because they’re making stupid money off these drugs.  Here are a few of the more famous celeb deaths caused by overdose of prescription meds…
