COD: MW 3 will no doubt be the #1 game of the year. VG Chartz has reported the game sold 9.3 million copies on release day alone. That’s more than half a billion dollars of sales (9.3 x $60). Damn, that’s a lot of cash being exchanged. To show you crazy that sales number is, Battlefield 3, sold about 5 million for the WHOLE week. Say what you want about MW 3 but Activision has done a great job marketing this game.
In other sales news, the PS3 exclusive Uncharted 3, sold 3.8 million copies on launch day. Pretty impressive since the game is only for the PS3.
