Big Stan is a movie about a weak con artist about to go to jail for ripping off old women. In the process, he learns that he needs to learn martial arts in order to keep himself from being loved by the inmates.
A surprise comedy that entertained till the end. Yes, the storyline is nothing to write home about. But, this is a good Schneider movie. He hasn’t done anything good since Deuce Begalow. The fight scenes are good and creative. Also, the master and now deceased, David Carradine, is funny. The acting is lazy and sarcastic, which I like for this kind of a movie.
If you liked Deuce Begalow, and was dissapointed with anything after that, then Big Stan is for you. I would give this movie a B but the ending didn’t live up to the hype, so B-.
