Contrary to what many and myself believed Super 8 has nothing to do with Cloverfield. Quicker than anyone could predict J.J Abrams and Steven Spielberg have unveiled the trailer to their rumored Untitled film project. Seeing that it was literally only yesterday that we were reporting the first news of the two’s collaboration many people are stunned on how they managed to release a trailer on a project that no one ever knew existed.
For months now reports have been flowing in on details of J.J. Abrams upcoming project Mission Impossible 4, Cloverfield 2, Star Trek 2, and Samurai Jack. Nothing was ever mention about any other project and the reason why is because there was no project until now. Reports are coming that J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot crew shot the trailer independently from the film one month ago while working on filming his new TV Series Undercovers. So he’s just wrapping up Lost, still got Fringe, Mission Impossible 4, Cloverfield 2, Star Trek 2, Samurai Jack, and now a new TV Series. This guys inhuman!
While everyone is very hush-hush about the project the trailer hints that the plot has something to do with Area 51. J.J. Abrams has already commented that the project will be a inspired by early Spielberg work so it’s no surprise that there will be aliens involved. Super 8 is expected to hit theaters the next summer.
