Yoshihiro Akiyama Signed to Fight Wanderlei Silva at UFC 116
He’s mad and greasy!
This will be a good fight. Akiyama, aka Sexyama, started his MMA career in Japan. He was a hero in Japan for his Judo accomplishments. Everything was looking bright for him, until he fought the legendary, Kazushi Sakuraba. Sakuraba lost that fight, but filed a complaint against Akiyama’s greasy skin. In his defense, Akiyama is a hot model in Japan, maybe he takes care of his skin. But, since that fight, Japan turned on him, booing him in every fight. If he beats Wanderlei, he can be a superstar in the UFC, and he’ll probably get a title shot against Anderson Silva. Either way, this will be an exciting fight.

Junior Dos Santos Wants Cain Velasquez!
I approve of this match-up! This fight needs to happen while we wait for the King (Brock Lesnar) to return. After a stellar performance against Gonzaga, Dos Santos deserves this match, make it happen UFC!

UFC: Vera vs. Jones Results
Jones victorious!
Jones defeated Vera via elbow in the ground, Vera stopped fighting, so the ref stepped in.
Junior Dos Santos added another KO victory on his record against Gabriel Gonzaga.
Cheick Kongo defeated Paul Buentello via submission, Buentello tapped after being man-handled for almost 3 rounds.
Alessio Sakara defeated James Irvin, Irvin faked a thumb to the eye which prompted the doctors to check his eye. Replay showed that it was a punch that landed to the eye, not the thumb. It was ruled a TKO in favor of Sakara.
Clay Guida defeated Gugerty via Arm Triangle.
