Strikeforce Announces a June 16th Card in L.A.
This card will be aired on Showtime, and will likely feature Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs. Robbie Lawler as the Main Event. Why June 16th? Strikeforce wants this show to coincide with E3, a big annual Video Game convention.

BJ Penn considers Fedor as the #1 P4P King
After losing his title to a decision against Frankie Edgar, Penn said this when asked about Fedor:
“It’s gotta be Fedor. He finishes his guys and how can I argue against him?”
Dana White won’t be too happy about this comment, but it’s true. Out of the 3 Title Matches within the past 2 weeks, none of the UFC champions finished their fights; GSP couldn’t finish Hardy, Anderson Silva couldn’t stop Maia; and Penn lost his belt to Edgar. These are title matches with the challengers picked as heavy underdogs.

Anderson Silva gets Chael Sonnen Next!
Confirmed by Dana White on jim Rome Show. White also stated that he would cut Silva if he ever acts like an ass again!

UFC 112 Results
Anderson Silva def. Demian Maia by unanimous decision
– Silva won but embarassed himself in the process. If you’re going to taunt somebody, you better finish him off! This fight showed that Silva’s mental state is fragile, and that he is afraid of BJJ black belts (see Leites fight).
Frankie Edgar def. BJ Penn by unanimous decision
The decision here was BS, Penn won this fight. He had Octagon control, and Edgar did nothing to deserve the belt. Penn was getting tagged here and there, but nothing significant.
Matt Hughes def. Renzo Gracie via third-round TKO
A pretty uneventful fight, until Gracie gassed in the 3rd Rd. Suddenly, Hughes became Mike Tyson, and finished with a TKO!
Rafael Dos Anjos def. Terry Etim via submission (armbar)
A good show of Jiu-Jitsu by Dos Anjos. I’m glad that Etim got finished off, this guy never learns. He has potential to be a great fighter, if he chooses to learn the ground game.
Mark Munoz def. Kendall Grove by second-round TKO
A good fight, Munoz has improved. How many more chances does Grove have in the UFC?
