Rampage vs. Rashad Countdown Gets Highest Ratings
As in, the highest rated Countdown show so far. What does this mean? This PPV will sell very well. I am excited for this fight as the build-up started over a year ago when Rampage defeated Rashad’s teammate, Keith Jardine; the trash talking spilled over into the show, Ultimate Fighter, and will be settled on May 29th for UFC 114.

Andrei Arlovki’s Trainer Saw the Downfall Coming
Dino Costeas has been Arlovki’s coach for at least 10 years. He said he knew something bad was going to happen when Arlovski started training in Boxing with Freddie Roach, rather than MMA. The reason being that Golden Boy Productions wanted Arlovski to jump ship into boxing, so he can be popular in both sports. Wasn’t DeLahoya present when Arlovski face-planted himself into the canvas against Fedor Emelianenko?
Costeas’ claim could have merit, but we’ll find out this Saturday if Arlovski is a changed fighter, as he faces Antonio “Big Foot” Silva in Strikeforce.

Winner of Rampage/Rashad gets Shogun
This has been confirmed by Dana White. Nice! Either one of these guys will be a good fight for Shogun. Rampage might be more of a challenge; plus, there’s the rematch factor. Shogun broke Rampage’s ribs in Pride, and soccer kicked him multiple times in the face before the Ref stepped in. Maybe, the loser gets Machida?

Nate Diaz to Face Marcus Davis in UFC 118
An interesting match-up; Davis needs to keep this fight standing and go for the KO. On the ground, Diaz can possible catch Davis with a submission.

Karo Parisyan Rejected by Strikeforce
Coker said that his asking price of $40,000 per fight is too high; another factor is his inability to show up fight days due to his alleged addiction to prescription drugs. But, good news for Karo; he has been signed by IFC: Impact Fighting Championships!

Brandon Vera Analyzes Karate Kicks vs. Muay Thai Kicks
It’s a shame that Vera’s only KOs nowadays are against Dummys.
Bottom line: Either way, it hurts!!! For me, I’d go for the Karate kicks since it’s faster, and hard enough to put people to sleep, not to mention that Karate Kid is one of my favorite movies eva!!!

OC DA statement: “We declined to file charges based on insufficient corroboration to prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Koscheck Set to Fight GSP
After the trash-talking that Koscheck did to GSP and the Canadian fans, I’m pretty sure that GSP/Koscheck 2 will be set in Canada. Koscheck was booed by the crowd after he won a unanimous decision against Paul Daley; Koscheck didn’t take it too well and mouthed off against GSP, as well as the Canadiens Hockey Team.
What makes Koscheck think that he can beat GSP? Maybe, delusion. GSP will take him down at will, and the end result will be the same as the first fight.

Kimbo Cut by UFC
After losing to fellow Ultimate Fighter contestant, Matt Mitrione, Kimbo Slice has been cut by the UFC. Regardless of his MMA skills; or lack thereof, Kimbo is a draw. There’s always a hype everytime he fights. People just can’t get past over Kimbo’s scary physique. However, his physique didn’t help him against Mitrione as Kimbo was huffing and puffing within two minutes into the fight. To his credit, Kimbo escaped two triangle attempts by Mitrione. But, in the end; Kimbo gassed and was full-mounted by Mitrione in Rd. 2.

Paul Daley Cut by the UFC
After losing to Koscheck’s human blanketing skills, Daley sucker punched Koscheck after the fight. Daley was frustrated that he couldn’t avoid Koscheck’s takedowns. On top of that, Koscheck admitted that he was talking trash while laying on Daley for three rounds. Not that the sucker punch was justified, but Daley had no answers for Koscheck’s takedown, and shameless acting skills. Koscheck faked an injury after Daley unintentionally threw an illegal knee that barely touched Koscheck’s forehead. Koscheck cupped his forehead and fell on his back in “severe” pain. Luckily, the ref saw the replay and decided not to deduct a point on Daley.
