Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Shields Results
All the televised fights went to decision, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. Henderson almost KOd Shields twice in the first round, but Shields recovered and mounted Henderson the rest of the rounds. Aoki tried to tie Melendez down with his infamous rubber guard, but without his infamous sticky pants, it was very difficult. Mousasi was out-muscled by the better wrestler in Lawal. Lawal took him down with ease, and Mousasi had no answers for King Mo on the ground, i was disappointed.
The most memorable part of the night was the mini-brawl that ensued after the Main Event. Jason “Mayhem” Miller was mouthing off to Shields about a rematch, they don’t call him “Mayhem” for nothing. Shields shoved Miller, and the rest is history. Mayhem was held down by one of Jake’s teammate, while Nate Diaz left some foot prints on Mayhem’s back. Most would say that this was an embarrassing moment for the sport, but mini-brawls like these always spark interest. It’s not like boxing, or even baseball didn’t have their shares of brawls. So, no harm done, not to the sport at least, but I can’t say the same for Miller’s spine.

Randy Couture vs. James Toney for UFC 118
Two legends in their respective sport is set to face each other in Boston on Aug. 28th. Couture should have no problem winning this fight; take Toney to the ground, and do whatever he wants! To be fair to Toney, maybe they should have a boxing match afterwards.

UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun 2 Promo
Both fighters thought they won the first fight. In a way, they’re both right, and both wrong at the same time. It was a very close fight but Machida had Octagon control, so it was the right call.

Dana White: “Jake Shields is definitely going to leave Strikeforce and he’s definitely coming to the UFC”
White also said:
“They never respected Jake Shields, who is their champion. They didn’t even have him in their commercials for the fight. Then the fight happens and Jake Shields wins. They were like, ’Oh my God. He won. What do we do?’ I think they sent (Miller) in there to challenge him, so that if Jake leaves, it looks like he doesn’t want to fight Miller.”

Joe Stevenson vs. Takanori Gomi Possible
This fight might happen for the UFC’s second VERSUS show. Gomi has a good chance at beating Stevenson, if he can keep the fight standing. Otherwise, Stevenson will take him down and finish him off with the Ground and Pound.
