Ever since I saw the dark comedy The Cable Guy with Jim Carrey, I wanted to go to Medieval Times. I’ve always been fascinated with swordifghting and especially tales of Camelot and King Arthur. When I found out there was a Medieval Times castle in New Jersey (I’m in the Philly area), I immediately wanted to go. My girlfriend took me for an early birthday gift and got us some nice upgrades courtesy of the kings royalty package. We got our photos taken on the throne, a program, DVD, and front row seats.
For those that don’t know, Medieval Times is a place where you watch a show (involving jousting, swordfighting, etc) while eating a feast served by wenches. You eat with your hands (which wasn’t a big deal really), and the food was quite good. We arrived early and had a great time. The food and show are well worth the money. We had front-row seats and the 2 hour show was entertaining and fun. I recommend anyone of any age go to Medieval Times. You’ll have a blast. Go early and get your tix in advance online at www.medievaltimes.com. You can find a castle near you, check out upgrades, and order your tix right on the website. Medieval Times is a birthday gift I’ll never forget.

My mother and I went in Southern California. We had a great time. If you get into the spirit of the thing, it’s good corny, all American Arthurian fun. Now that Mom’s gone, I recall Medieval Times with pleasure. It’s typical of the kind of thing we enjoyed doing together. Itt was a good knight.
