Oh EA you sneaky bastard you. After Activision has announced Call of Duty: Black Ops, you announce the new Medal of Honor release date of October 12,2010. That’s one month before Black Ops launch date. I wonder if Activision has something to worry about? I loved Medal of Honor during the PSX and PS2 era, but got tired of the whole WWII saturated market afterwards. Now Medal of Honor is following Call of Duty’s lead and is ditching WWII for modern war.

“Medal of Honor is an authentic look into today’s war. Inspired by real people and real events, the game puts players in the boots of today’s warrior — from the infantry ground pounder to the Tier 1 Operator,” said Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer of Medal of Honor. “We are proud of this piece because it offers a glimpse into the game we’re creating, while also showing the mindset of these warriors.”

Check out medalofhonor.com for the game’s newest trailer called “Leave a Message”. The single-player campaign mode is being developed by EA Los Angeles while multiplayer mode is being developed by EA DICE, the guys behind Mirror’s Edge and Battlefield: Bad Company.
