This time they outdone themselves!
Battle Cat from the Masters of the Universe Classic’s collection is an amazing version of the character!
Sculpted to resemble the 80’s figure which was a static, hollow shell of He-Man’s fighting green tiger.
Battle Cat comes complete with head armor and saddle. The original look is there, however, the modern touches make this the definitive version of Cringer’s alter ego.
The detail is awesome–from the carving and molding of fur, to the paint scheme of green with yellow stripes. The eyes and mouth are detailed also. The new improvements are simply the articulation. Battle Cat moves at so many points I feel after the 80’s and 2002 versions, the tail being able to wag would be enough! Battle Cat’s legs have articulated joints, his body also moves with multiple levels of bending joints some of these levels resemble layers to his fur.
The saddle has two cheesy straps towards the front for hanging a pair of swords from, it wasn’t a necessary thing to add, but it does no harm.
The first thing noticed over any of the detail is that Battle Cat weighs quite a bit by just lifting the box; he is made of solid plastic and is quite large to handle the taller, modern figures. The saddle can handle just about all of the figures and the spot behind the main seat can take another rider with no problem. He-Man can take Teela for a ride and when Orko wants to come along they can shoo him away with taunts that he has no legs…
Anyhow, the back of the box has the usual “also available” and a bio on Battle Cat–Real name Cringer.
Battle Cat is a great piece for any collector of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Nice! I remembered the original, hard to play with because it was one whole piece, the legs doesn’t move.
