Long Beach Comic Con was back again at the LB Convention Center for another show. This was the first of two shows they’re planning for this year, with the bigger one scheduled for October.
The show was way smaller compared to the previous ones and I didn’t get my action figure fix. This show focused more on vintage comics. Many of the vendors had old comics for sale. My friend, Alfonso, enjoyed it the most because he collects old school Batman and Superman comics. The Guild show was also filming at the convention.
The artist alley was pretty cool and the highlight for me. Got a really cool Batman print from Joel Gomez. I will definitely display it in my room. He’ll be at this weekend’s Anaheim Comic Con so make sure to stop by his booth and checkout his impressive work.
Here’s the print I got:
While this was small show, the targeted demographic were the hardcore comic collectors. It’s hard to find a comic con these days that will focus mostly on comics, instead of the usual pop culture. The next show will be in October and that one will be huge! Looking forward to it.
