Ohhhh yeaaaah!!! (Macho Man voice)
Long Beach Comic Con was once again booming with attendees, artists and vendors.
I spent most of my time at the artists alley and got autographs from living legend Wolverine creator, Len Wein and DC star Dustin Nguyen. Talked to several independent creators from comics to movies. I love how these guys are so determined and motivated.
Just like previous Long Beach Comic Cons, the artist were really friendly. Punisher cover artist, Tim Bradstreet was helping aspiring artists. He was giving pointers and surprisingly honest. Can’t beat receiving constructive criticism from one of the best artists in the world.
Dark Knight inker, Richard Friend was also giving pointers at his booth. He was genuinely helpful and took his time helping out a fellow artist on his work. Mind you, this was just a booth where brave artists asked for help and what they could improved on. These professional artists are supposed to be there to sell prints/sketches but they’re so passionate that they didn’t care. Friend’s line was growing but he didn’t care and gave as many pointers as possible.
Plenty of cosplayers showed up including a Joker that seemed familiar with the attendees.
I bought several prints and a statue and spent a total of $160. I always go over budget with these cons.
Again, highlight for me were the professional artists helping new artists trying to make it in the field.
Thanks for the great experience Long Beach Comic Con, I’ll see you guys next year!

ALL RIGHT!!! Dark Helmet! Now how cool is that!!! “I see your schwartz is as big as mine!” Awesome!
I know a certain writer who will be jealous of your photo with She-Ra…
I’m glad the artists were cool, its about time too, usually only the independent artists will throw you a bone because the “others” have a big head, so that is great in itself.
Glad you had a good time, you should post the statue and prints, that would be cool.
