This is a quick rundown of the Mazes at Knott’s Halloween Haunt. You aren’t sure of which Mazes to visit? This article will help you make the decision.

I suggest going to Knott’s Scary Farm as early as possible. The earlier dates are cheaper, and are less crowded. This means you have time to experience most of the Mazes. Also, don’t forget to wear comfy shoes, and most importantly, have fun!!!

13 Mazes, in order by Grade.

Virus Z – We start off the maze at the 60’s style diner/cafeteria as zombies are serving food. But, they also try to eat us at the same time. Then, we’re off to school. There’s an empty school bus outside, and classrooms filled with misbehaving zombies. After the classrooms, there are office cubicles where filthy zombie hands are trying to reach for us.  I love the presentation for this maze. It reminds me of zombie films and video games.
Grade: A

Sleepy Hollow Mountain – (Log Ride) This maze is always fun for me. I like the relaxing ride and the big drop at the end. The story is about the tale of the Sleepy Hollow. We’ve all seen the Tim Burton film. It’s a nice ride, although, not too scary, but entertaining nonetheless. Be prepared to get wet though.
Grade: A

Old London (Jack The Ripper) – This maze takes you through the dark and misty streets of Old London. Jack the Ripper is on the loose. That can’t be good. This is a very cool maze, and the set design is fantastic. It made me feel like I traveled back in time. My favorite part is the pub scene.
Grade: A

Uncle Bobo’s Big Top Of The Bizarre 3D – If you hate clowns, then this is the maze for you. Bobo’s maze is very colorful, and is much better in 3D. These clowns are insane, and they are everywhere. The neon lights are enough to give you a convulsion. Add a bunch of over-energetic clowns to the setting, and you’ll have yourself a good time.
Grade: B

Slaughterhouse – This is cool, especially if you like films like Hostel. You walk into a butcher house, and you can figure out what happens there. There are guts all over the place. The red lighting sets the tone, and gives this maze a very creepy feel.
Grade: B

Cornstalkers – You’re in a farm, and the scarecrows have come to life. They’ll come at you from every direction. This is their home, and they are familiar with the place. The corn stalks are a great way for them to hide. I would be weary of every turn, and pay attention for the surprise at the end. It’s a bit short, but this is a fun maze.
Grade: B

Dia de los Muertos in 3D – “Day of the Dead” is the theme for this maze. It is entertaining as you walk through the colorful streets, into the chapels, and even the cemeteries. The 3D effects really work as the neon lights and the decorative skulls come at you. There are also creatures like the chupacabras that will come out and try to jump you.
Grade: B

Fallout Shelter – You’re in an underground shelter. Everybody down there has been mutated. They are angry, and are very creepy. They mumble nonsense and jump at you. They want to turn you into a mutant. The setup is very well done, and the storyline is entertaining.
Grade: B

Delirium – This maze is about you questioning your own sanity. People there are definitely insane as they walk around and taunt you. I enjoyed the raw setting, it reminded me of video games such as Silent Hill. I enjoyed the maze, but it needs a stronger storyline.
Grade: B

Doll Factory – I enjoyed my stroll through the Doll Factory. But, it felt a bit uneventful at times. The dolls are mad at us for no apparent reason. But, if you have kids, take them here so you don’t have to spend another dollar on plastic dolls.
Grade: C

Lockdown: The Asylum – The crazies have escaped, and now out to get you. This maze was a little disappointing. The storyline seemed interesting at first. But, Lockdown fell short in the scare department. Everything was just predictable.
Grade: C

Endgames – This has a Heavy Metal atmosphere. Gladiators fight each other to please the rich jerks. Loud thunderous music blasts through your ears as you walk the hallways. Flashing lights will certainly annoy you if it doesn’t scare you. This is a very well done Maze. But, it was not my cup of tea. I would still recommend this Maze, especially if you love Heavy Metal music.
Grade: C

Invasion Beneath (Calico Mine Ride) – Avoid this maze unless you have extra time. This is the Calico Mine Ride, and is very slow. The concept is intriguing. There are creatures living beneath us. But, this ride had nothing to offer in terms of fright.
Grade: D

Stageshow:

The Hanging – Last year’s show was funny, but there were some dry moments. This year’s show is much better. I don’t want to spoil any of the special guests, but every celeb was worthy of the show. The actors are great as they ran around the stage and changed into different outfits to play different roles for 25 minutes. The stunts are also top notch. This was the best attraction of the night. I was laughing my ass off the whole time. Don’t miss it!
Grade: A
