Matt Mullins is an accomplished martial artist and actor, and an all-around great guy. Mullins is the break-out star of the new hit CW4Kids series Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight. Kamen Rider is exciting and action-packed. It can be seen every Saturday morning at 11:30am on The CW Network as part of their CW4Kids Saturday morning lineup.
Recently, NERDSociety.com interviewed Mr. Mullins and we asked him about his career and his awesome series, Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight. This is the second and final part of the interview:
NERDSociety (NS): You recently attended the hugely popular LA Science Fiction and Comic Book Convention and had a panel discussion with the other members of the cast. How did it go ? What were the fans like there ?
Matt Mullins (MM): The LA Science and Comic book Convention was great. It was awesome to meet some of the fans of the show and to also see a decent number of the cast and crew who worked on the show. All of the fan where really supportive and very complementary of the show and our work.
NS: When you are out and about are you recognized often ? Do kids know you from the Kamen Rider series yet ? What’s that like, if they do ?
MM: Going out and being recognized has been cool. It is kind of funny to watch kids momentary freak out when they know it is you. The question that has come up the most is “when can we get your toy?”
NS: Kamen Rider Dragon Knight has a good mix of storytelling and very cool action. What do you hope that fans get out of the series ?
MM: I hope fans will be entertained and really get into the non linear story. It is so different because there are not 4 good guys and one bad guy. You don’t know who is good or bad, and even the people that are bad are tricked into fighting and you feel for each character.
NS: What kind of roles do you hope to do in the future ?
MM: I have studied acting for so long I would love a chance to play a lot of different roles. I love doing comedy, and I look forward to trying that. I also hope to do a big budget action movie. I think I can bring something to the screen that is different and distinctive.

NS: Do you currently have any projects that you are working on that you’d like to share with the readers of nerdsociety.com ?
MM: I just worked with director James Gunn, on a short, and I choreographed sideswipe in a huge tour that is starting soon. I’m not allow to say which one, but it is huge.
NS: Finally, What’s been the best thing about working on Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight ?
MM: The best part of working on Kamen Rider is being part of such an amazing lineage. I hope I have add something unique in the spirt of Shotaro Ishinomori and Kamen Rider.

Matt Mullins is pure awesomeness manifested in physical form! Ripping the transformation devices out of the hands of not one, but two baddies then beating them up while juggling the aforementioned devices was awesome! He has some of the best fights in the show!

MATT MULLINS IS THE TERM FOR KICKING BUTTS! HE HAS THE MOST COMBATS IN THIS SHOW! HIS MARTIAL ARTS IS AWESOME AND I WOULD LIKE TO TELLOHIS TEACHER U HAVEE TAUGHT HIM PRETTY WELL!
