Byzantium is a drama about mother/daughter vampires set in a sort of dreary sea-side coastal town. The overcast skies and crying seagulls set up a nice eerie mood which hints that bad stuff is on the horizon. It’s made by the folks behind Interview with a Vampire so it should be pretty decent. It stars Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones), Gemma Arterton (The Prince of Persia) and Johnny Lee Miller (Hackers). No exact release date has been posted for the US yet but it’s opening in other countries from April through June.
