Well another Heroes came and went. As the show is progressing, it’s getting harder and harder to remain interested. But, as a fan, I have to keep on watching just to see what happens. Why keep watching? Because I’m a sucker. Haven’t you ever had that feeling that something is really sucking the life out of you, but you can’t stop yourself from it? This episode isn’t that bad, but it isn’t that great either. Now let’s get to it shall we?
Spoilers Ahead
Now this episode revolves around Arthur Petrelli, the father of the three Petrelli brothers. But let’s start with Claire and Elle.
Claire and Elle
After saving her two moms, Claire comes home to find Elle, her rival in Season 2 with the power of electricity, chilling inside her house. Elle tries to attack Claire but her brother pours water on Elle and she gets shocked. Mmmm, wet Elle is sexy!
Elle then tells Claire that she needs help. Kind of weird, because why was she trying to attack Claire in the first place? Oh well. They both find out that Pinehearst was calling to them.
The two blonde bombshells decide to head over by plane. Not a good idea with Elle not being able to control her powers. She nearly shuts down the whole plane, but Claire tells Elle to release all her energy on Claire. That just sounds hot, the thought of both girls holding each other’s hands and moaning in agony.
Mohinder and Maya
Now we see Mohinder looking over Maya sedated at a facility. Mohinder went to Arthur Petrelli to help cure Maya from her cursed powers. Arthur shows up and holds Maya’s head and takes her powers away.
Mohinder comes to Maya, but Maya wants no part of the poor ol’ freaky deaky doctor. Later on, Mohinder meets Maya again, and she tells him that she needs to go back south to face her past. This is when they part ways. Wow, all that build up of Maya crossing over from South America to New York, losing her brother in the process, to finding Mohinder and seeing him turn into a monster, and now she leaves? What a tease.
Daphne and Matt
Daphne failed her mission to recruit Matt. Now Arthur Petrelli isn’t too please with this, so Daphne has to kill him. She comes to Matt with a gun, but couldn’t do it. Benjaminm, the sneaky bastard, finds out and knocks out Daphne and uses Matt’s fear to punch a hole into his body, but it was it was all an illusion created by Matt to trick Benjamin. Then again, Daphne is seen talking to Arthur that she’s manipulating Matt, so that whole scene was pointless anyway.
Arthur, Sylar, and Peter
Angela goes inside Sylar’s mind to tell him to save Peter. Sylar finds out that he can use his powers to escape his cell. While this is happening, Peter tries to knock out his father but failed.
Arthur decides to let Mohinder use Peter as a test subject for his own goals. Just when Mohinder was about to inject Peter, Sylar comes to the rescue and throws Mohinder into a wall. Sylar throws the other scientist and impales him. I thought Sylar was trying to reform, but he’s killing again, tsk tsk.
Mohinder then gets back up and hits Sylar until he’s knocked out. That was pretty cool. The good ol’ doctor now is able to seek revenge again for his father’s death, but Arthur stops him and tells him Sylar is his son. Peter escapes while this is happening.
After Sylar wakes up from getting knocked out by Mohinder, Arthur tells Sylar about his mom’s real intentions. Peter comes to see Sylar and tells him to kick their dad’s ass, but Sylar, now on his dad’s side, throws Peter out the window.
It turns out that Peter survived the fall, and is carried away by Claire, while Elle goes into the Pinehearst building to find a cure, since she saw Peter with no powers. It turned out that Peter survived the fall because Sylar used his powers to break his fall, while making it look like Sylar was trying to kill him to please his dad.
Hiro and Ando
The episode ends with Hiro, Ando, and the African precog planning on how to save the world. Hiro says he doesn’t want to go back in time, but wants to rely on himself. All of a sudden, Hiro’s eyes turned white because of the African precog, and that’s where the episode ends.
Conclusion
The story still isn’t going anywhere. Pretty much, it’s just the heroes going in and out of Pinehearst. Nothing really changed when compared to the first time you saw Arthur, only this time, he has more powers, and killed Matt Parkman’s dad. Mohinder and Maya part ways. Ando and Hiro is still in Africa. Matt and Daphne is still confusing each other. Angela is still in a coma. Nathan and Tracy is still doing nothing. HRG and Meredith comes in, and investigates, but it leads to nowhere. Claire brings Peter back, but Peter didn’t accomplish anything. So no one did anything really to push the story forward. God this show is such a tease! Just cut the foreplay and show me Hiro and Daphne make out.
Now we have to wait two more weeks for the next episode because SNL is having a special. Sweet, that means I get a break from the show.
